Overview

ICL seeks a psychiatric nurse practitioner for ICL's Two Bridges Shelter and Tillary Street Women's Shelter to provide recovery-oriented psychiatric evaluation, medication management and clinical leadership for the people we serve.

 

ICL is an award-winning not-for-profit human services agency providing trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, integrated, and person-centered ("TRIP") care via supportive and transitional housing, counseling with individualized therapies, rehabilitation, and other support services for adults, veterans, children, and families diagnosed with serious mental illness, substance abuse, or developmental disabilities throughout New York City.  We serve over 10,000 people each year and have 2,400 individuals sleeping under ICL roof every night.  Our goal is to help people re-engage in a fuller life. 

 

ICL is a leading community behavioral health agency offering a diverse and expanding continuum of services, including:

  • outpatient clinics dually licensed to provide behavioral and primary health care
  • assertive community treatment (ACT) teams and ACT-like models to provide mobile services to people with high behavioral health needs
  • a Personal Recovery Oriented Service (PROS) program promoting participants’ achievement of vocational, housing and relationship goals
  • shelter-based behavioral and primary health care
  • an array of supported housing models, from shelter to permanent housing, and including housing for people with developmental disabilities
  • health home (HH) and home and community based services (HCBS) – new models of care

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program, and currently licensed in New York State as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.  Current DEA certification.  ANCC certification is an asset.  Two years experience with persons with co-occurring health/mental illness and HIV/AIDS preferred.  Must be eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs May be required to possess a valid NYS driving license and a clear driving record. Continued employment is based on the ability to maintain professional licensure and accreditation, and participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
