Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the Infrastructure Architect ’s role is to manage and operate a Microsoft Azure-based cloud infrastructure. S/he is responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Network and Security.  S/he is also responsible for the on-premise windows and VMWare servers and key assets.  


  1. Manage the Azure based cloud computing environment
  2. Manage the on-premise Windows servers and VMWare environments
  3. Manage the enterprise active directory that spans Azure and on-premise
  4. Manage the data backup processes and routine testing
  5. Establish best practices through the entire infrastructure
  6. Deploying VMs into virtual networks
  7. Configuring VM for optimum cost, performance, and security
  8. Backing up VMs and potentially providing failover recovery
  9. Securing data against unauthorized access
  10. Backing up data and making it efficient to restore when needed
  11. Configuring long-term archival storage to maintain corporate compliance
  12. Deploying and configuring virtual networks
  13. Orchestrating routing paths, especially in a hybrid cloud
  14. Managing public and private IP addresses for your VMs and selected other Azure resources
  15. Encrypting data in transit, at rest, and in use
  16. Protecting Azure Active Directory accounts against compromise
  17. Reducing the attack surface of all your Azure resources

Other job duties that are assigned.


BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field.A minimum of 5 years’ experience that included experience:

  • on Azure App Service Model (Web Apps, Mobile Apps, API Apps and Web Jobs)
  • on Azure storage services like SQL DB, Tables, Files and Blobs
  • with Azure API Management Service
  • in Microservice development on Azure using Container Service and Service Fabric
  • executing cloud native projects in Azure with DevOps using VSTS along with Microsoft as well as Open Source Tools
  • Azure Integration services like Service Bus and Event Hubs
