Overview

ICL is looking for part time psychiatrist to join East New York HUB Shelter ACT Team in Brooklyn. These teams provide multidisciplinary recovery-oriented services to people with serious mental illnesses living in the community.  All team members make field visits to patients’ homes. Some teams are piloting integrated primary care with the Community Healthcare Network to provide a more holistic care experience for patients.  Full-time and part-time option are available, with a minimum commitment of two days per week. There may be an opportunity to combine these positions with some outpatient clinic hours as well.

ICL is a leading community behavioral health agency offering a diverse and expanding continuum of services, including:

 

  • An integrated health hub in East New York addressing primary and behavioral health care as well as the social determinants of health
  • Assertive community treatment (ACT) teams and ACT-like models to provide mobile services to people with high behavioral health needs
  • A Personal Recovery Oriented Service (PROS) program promoting participants’ achievement of vocational, housing and relationship goals
  • Shelter-based behavioral and primary health care an array of supported housing models, from shelter to permanent housing, and including housing for people with developmental disabilities
  • Health home (HH) and home and community based services (HCBS) – new models of care 

Salary is competitive. Board eligible or Board Certified in psychiatry, and Spanish language skills are a plus. Our psychiatrists must demonstrate a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and integrated approach to working with individuals and families.
