Overview

Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the  Project Manager is in charge of schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables for IT projects. Monitors teams to make sure goals and objectives are being kept. Knowledge of larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise. Maintains standards and monitors scope with project quality.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  2. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  3. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  4. Ensure resource availability and allocation
  5. Oversees strategic plan, monitoring and adapting as needed
  6. Creates project plans
  7. Maintains project objectives
  8. Monitors production and quality to customer/stakeholder/sponsor standards
  9. Identifies and resolves issues and risks
  10. Reports on project progress, offers viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
  11. Implements change practices
  12. Manages resources to make sure schedule is on track
  13. Portfolio management
  14. Lead meetings and set expectations for project team
  15. Maintain budget
  16. Reporting on projects and portfolios
  17. Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  18. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  19. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  20. Report and escalate to management as needed
  21. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  22. Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  23. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  24. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  25. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  26. Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  27. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  28. Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  29. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  30. Use and continually develop leadership skills
  31. Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  32. Perform other related duties as assigned
  33. Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  34. Other job duties that are assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

At least 10 years experience in project management, especially larger projects with established firms PMP certification required; PMO experience preferred; 3 years must have included IT project management
