Overview

Supports all activities of the Board of Trustees and Board committees including recruitment and orientation, meetings, site visits, engagement with programs and coordination of fundraising information and research.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates board and committee meeting schedules and agendas and agency presentations; and serves as liaison for meetings with executive leadership and programs.
  • Manages and updates Board Handbook and other informational materials.
  • Acts as point person on communications with Board; prepares members and staff for meeting presentations and follow-up.
  • Manages logistics for board and committee meetings.
  • Responsible for developing and managing board recruitment and orientation program.
  • Coordinates with VP Development on giving opportunities by Board and committee members.
  • Assists in tracking database for agency, primarily board, donors and prospective donors.

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Progressive experience in board relations and development and donor relations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively across an organization.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

 

  • Highly organized with demonstrated systems for planning and tracking meetings
  • Knowledge of databases for prospect tracking, preferably knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Great attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
