    JOB SUMMARY

     

    Responsible for assisting in the daily administrative operation of the outpatient OMH licensed clinic. 

    Responsibilities

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
     

    Primary Job Responsibilities
     

     

    Assists in establishing compliance with state and city regulations; including charting and environment

     
    Assists in providing direct supervision to clinical supervisor(s)

     
    Assists in providing direct supervision to clinical staff 

     
    Assists in overseeing clinic billing

     
    Assists in overseeing mandated levels of service

     
    Oversees statistical reporting to  funders

     
    Leads  case conferences

     
    Leads utilization review committee in Director’s absence

     
    Leads interdisciplinary team disposition committee in Director’s absence

     
    Trains staff in the maintenance of clinical records in compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations as per the city Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services, the State Office of Mental Health,  and the State of New York Department of Health

     
    Assists in overseeing the compliance with managed care requirements; both by clinicians and billing staff

     
    Assists in scheduling in agency training/in-service programs

     

    Reports weekly to Director

     
    Performs other duties as required
     

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

     

    Education: Licensed by NYS Education Department as a Psychologist or Social Worker.(LMSW or LCSW; LCSW preferred) plus current, valid registration.

     

    Training and Experience: 3 years minimum clinical experience with a specialization in the area of community mental health which must include at least two years of  administrative or supervisory  experience.  Must have or secure NPI number and eligible for unrestricted participation as a  provider in Medicaid and Medicare programs.

     

    Continued employment is conditioned on the ability to maintain professional licensure, current registration and participation as a provider in the Medicaid and Medicare programs
