The Supervising Registered Nurse is responsible for the oversight of all nursing duties in a residence, including the supervision of LPN’s and/or other registered nurses. This position is assigned to residences where the medical acuity of the residents warrants increased medical staffing and oversight. The Supervising Registered Nurse is also responsible for performing all the duties of the staff registered professional nurse, namely the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, and health counseling; nurses provide interventions supportive to or restorative of life and well-being; and execute medical regimens prescribed by a physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider. License and current registration to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State; at least 2 years post RN licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals with mental disabilities.
