  • Overview

    Under the general supervision of the Assistant Controller –G/L ,  assist  in the preparation of monthly financial statements and audit schedules for review by Management of ICL, and for review by independent auditors.

    1. Assists the Assistant Controller with developing and producing report for analysis of month-end and year-end reports
    2. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
    3. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention
    4. Prepares, maintains, and coordinates account analyses for audit purposes  
    5. Responsible for maintaining, managing, and coordinating accounts receivable balances for ICL and subsidiary companies.
    6. Prepare all cash flow reports for ICL and subsidiary companies.
    7. Supervise general ledger function and assigned bookkeeping staff.
    8. Prepare staffing patterns and other schedules for annual budget process, in collaboration with program managers as necessary.
    9. Assist in the preparation of year end cost reports.
    10. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
    11. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
    12. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
    13. Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
    14. Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
    15. Secures financial information by completing database backups.
    16. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    17. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    18. Perform other related duties that may be assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university and
    • Five years’ experience in general or tax accounting, preferably in a not-for-profit setting
    • Experience with computerized ledger systems
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills


    • Proficiency with various software programs including Microsoft Office  
    • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
