    ICL seeks psychiatrists for its Assertive Community Treatment and Intensive Mobile Teams to provide recovery-oriented psychiatric evaluation, medication management and clinical leadership for the people we serve.

     

    Salary is competitive and is commensurate with experience.  Specialty board certification and Spanish language skills are a plus.

    ICL is an award-winning not-for-profit human services agency providing trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, integrated, and person-centered ("TRIP") care via supportive and transitional housing, counseling with individualized therapies, rehabilitation, and other support services for adults, veterans, children, and families diagnosed wit serius mental illness, substance abuse, or developmental disabilities throughout New York City.  We serve over 10,000 people each year and have 2,400 individuals sleeping under ICL roof every night.  Our goal is to help people re-engage in a fuller life.  ICL opened the East New York Health Hub this year with the Community Healthcare Network, providing state-of-the-art integrated healh and social determinants care to an underserved community, with a focus on people living with serious mental illnesses.      

    Qualifications

    • License to practice medicine in New York State and current registration. Continued employment is based on the ability to maintain professional licensure, current registration and participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs
    • Board certified in psychiatry OR child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or by a foreign board clearly equivalent
    • Eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
    • Possession of current Controlled Substances Registration certificate from the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
    • Practice of psychiatry for at least 2 years
